Best SEO Blogs to Read & Follow in 2025
I selected these SEO blogs based on their reputation, expertise, and ability to provide actionable insights. They offer a diverse range of perspectives and cover a wide variety of SEO topics, from technical optimization to content marketing and link building.
These blogs are trusted sources of information for both beginners and seasoned SEO professionals.
1. LowFruits

At LowFruits, we’re always looking to help small business owners come out on top. That’s why we created one of the best keyword research tools out there, empowering you to find low-competition keywords you can actually rank for.
We apply this winning mentality to our blog as well.
At the LowFruits blog, you’ll find an array of SEO topics that are broken down into easy-to-understand articles. We take complex subjects and processes and simplify them so that even beginners can grasp them. (Don’t worry SEO pros, we’ve got content for you, too.)
From keyword research to SERP analysis, we cover everything you need to know to improve your website’s visibility.
And we give you the tools and tutorials to do it.
Here are a few examples:
- 15 SEO Best Practices That Really Work (& How To Do Them)
- How to Find Competitors’ Keywords (& Outrank Them!)
- 7 Tips to Improve Your Organic Clickthrough Rate (CTR)
- How to Increase Organic Traffic [10 Proven Methods]
I also want to point out that much of our content is designed specifically for small business owners. You’ll see this in the tools we recommend and the tips we share for improving your SEO.
2. Search Engine Journal

Search Engine Journal (SEJ) is a renowned online resource that began as an SEO news platform in 2003. It has since expanded its offerings to include comprehensive guides and practical tutorials on various topics, such as paid advertising, social media marketing, and more.
SEJ is widely appreciated for its ability to cater to SEO professionals of all levels. Beginners find its clear explanations and approachable style helpful, while experienced SEOs value its in-depth analysis and expert insights.
Some examples of the content you can find on SEJ include:
- Why & How To Track Google Algorithm Updates
- The Expert SEO Guide To URL Parameter Handling
- 9 Tips To Optimize Crawl Budget For SEO
SEJ is a great choice for users who enjoy news-style publications. I’d also say it has a more extensive library of advanced SEO techniques than some of the other blogs in our lineup.
3. Search Engine Land

Search Engine Land (SEL) is another leading authority in the SEO world, known for its comprehensive coverage of industry news and trends. It was founded by SEO expert Danny Sullivan in 2006.
Like Search Engine Journal, Search Engine Land uses a news-style format for its blog.
(And in case you’re wondering, no, there’s no relation between the two brands.)
SEL offers a variety of formats, including articles, columns, and interviews with industry experts.
They also publish frequently, sharing around 5 articles each day.
Here are some of their most recent SEO blogs:
- How to Maximize PPC and SEO Data With Co-optimization Audits
- Google Recognizes Content Creators: A Breakthrough for E-E-A-T and SEO
- The Truth Behind AI Checkers: A Cautionary Tale
Overall, SEL has a ton of variety in its content. It’s provides comprehensive coverage on the digital marketing world, which may make it overwhelming for new users. Instead, it’s an incredible resource for those wanting to get into the nitty-gritty of SEO and all things online.
4. SEOBoost Blog

SEOBoost is a newcomer to the SEO blogging scene, but I’ve been impressed with the content I’ve seen from them so far.
SEOBoost is a content optimization tool, so a lot of its articles discuss optimizing your website for greater visibility. With that said, they don’t limit themselves to content optimization.
They already have a vast repository of SEO subjects, like Google ranking factors and keyword clustering.
They write with a casual and approachable tone, which makes their blog posts easy to digest and understand.
Overall, it looks like it’s going to be one of the top SEO blogs in 2025, and I’m excited to watch it grow from the beginning.
Here are some recent articles from SEOBoost:
- How to Format Blog Posts for Higher Rankings
- 10 Proven Methods to Humanize AI Content for Better Readability
- How to Create a Content Brief in 2 Simple Steps
5. All in One SEO Blog

All in One SEO (AIOSEO) is one of the leading SEO plugins for WordPress. I’ve used them for years, and I like how they take customer feedback to heart and make frequent updates to improve their product.
They also have a blog that’s become an incredible resource for WordPress users and SEOs alike.
You can find everything from A to Z regarding SEO, and it has a ton of helpful tutorials on executing SEO workflows in WordPress.
Here are a few examples of posts on the AIOSEO blog:
- 15 Quick SEO Wins to 2X Your Traffic and Boost Rankings
- What Keywords Is My Site Ranking For? [WordPress Guide]
- The Ultimate Guide to SEO for Bloggers
I also want to highlight another area of the website: AIOSEO Trends.
This section features SEO case studies of websites with exploding organic traffic.

AIOSEO Trends breaks down the growth strategies of these websites, helping readers replicate their success. They also include tutorials and tools for implementing these strategies on your website.
There’s really no other website that’s doing something like this, making it a valuable addition to the SEO world. You can get a ton of insights on growth strategies that get results and how to do them.
Fun fact: I’ve contributed some content to AIOSEO Trends, and I’ve got to say they’re some of my favorite articles to write. It allows me to break down tried-and-true strategies in a way that other business owners can leverage them.
6. Semrush

Semrush is one of the most popular SEO tools, and their blog is equally well-known among beginner and advanced SEOs.
Their content often focuses on how to use their tools effectively, but they also cover a wide range of other SEO topics.
One of my favorite corners of their blog is the News & Research section. Since Semrush has one of the most complete keyword and competitor research databases, it’s interesting to see how they use this data to produce unique insights.
Here are some examples:
- Which Companies Spend the Most on Digital Advertising? [Study]
- Average CPM for Display Ads: Benchmarks by Industry [Study]
- 10 Small Business Trends
Unfortunately, since these studies require significant research and data collection, they don’t produce many articles here.
However, you can find all the SEO basics under the sun in the Semrush blog, making it a true chameleon for learning all things SEO.
7. Ahrefs

Ahrefs, known for its powerful backlink analysis tool, also offers a valuable blog.
It’s well-organized, making it easy to find topics on specific SEO-related interests.
Like Semrush, Ahrefs also has a Data & Studies section where you can discover insights that support your SEO strategy.
Here are some examples of these blogs:
- How Long Does It Take to Rank in Google? (A Study by Ahrefs)
- Anchor Text: A Data‐Driven Guide (384,614 Web Pages Studied)
- How Many Keywords Can You Rank for With One Page? (Ahrefs’ Study of 3M Searches)
This section of the blog is more prolific than Semrush’s News & Research. They currently have over 250 articles in this section and continue to add to it.
As for the other areas of their blog, Ahrefs typically posts 1-3 times per week. I like this approach because it’s more quality-focused than quantity. You can tell when reading their articles, which are well-thought-out and articulated clearly.
8. Moz

I remember when I was first starting out with SEO back in 2019 and constantly referred to the Moz blog. I appreciated how they spoke in simple terms and made it easy to grasp concepts that were new to me at the time.
Today, Moz still excels at being one of the best beginner-friendly SEO blogs out there. It’s also got some of the most intensive coverage of SEO-related topics, with over 500 pages of blog posts. (And each page has 14 blogs, so I’ll let you do the math.)
To put it simply, they have a lot of content.
One of their standout formats is their Whiteboard Friday video series. This series started back in 2007 and was initially hosted almost exclusively by Moz founder Rand Fishkin.
Now, it hosts other Moz employees and subject matter experts to discuss SEO topics in front of a whiteboard.
The series has been a hit since its debut and continues to generate engaging, informational content that users love.
Here are a few Whiteboard Friday video posts:
- The Helpful Content Update Was Not What You Think
- Build a Search Intent Dashboard to Unlock Better Opportunities
- How Links Impact Organic Results and Local Packs
9. Backlinko

If you’ve already done any type of SEO research, chances are you’re already familiar with Backlinko.
Brian Dean started this blog in 2012. Today, it partners with Semrush and focuses on helping website owners rank higher in search results.
They have several in-depth guides and tutorials that walk you through various SEO-related tasks, like creating a content strategy or how to do link building.
Despite being extremely comprehensive in each article, they’re easy to read and beginner-friendly.
Backlinko is appreciated by all levels of SEOs and continues to be a go-to resource in the SEO world.
Here are some examples of the content you’ll find at Backlinko:
- How to Do SEO for Your New Website [10-Step Guide]
