You can also get competition levels, which gives you an idea of how hard it would be to rank for a specific keyword. (Remember, this metric will reflect the paid competition level, but you can still infer organic competition from it.)

Beginner-Friendly Factor: Moderate. It’s in Google Ads, which can look a bit intimidating at first, but the Keyword Planner itself is pretty straightforward.

With that said, you’ll get metrics like volume, cost-per-click (CPC), paid difficulty (PD), and SEO difficulty (SD). This can be all the data you need when you’ve narrowed your research down to a single keyword.

You’ll also get a visualization of some of this data in a chart like the one below.

If you’re looking for a preview of the individual backlinks, just keep scrolling down the same page. You’ll get to see 15 backlinks for free. To see more, you’ll need to upgrade.
